IRM-AT Methane Sensor
CH4 Gas Sensor, NDIR Thermopile, A-Series, 0 – 2.5% and 0 – 100% vol ranges
Wide-range NDIR methane sensor for leak detection and process monitoring
The IRM-AT is a thermopile-based NDIR methane sensor offering dual capability: a precise 0 – 2.5% range for leak detection and a 0 – 100% vol range for process and high-concentration monitoring. Its patented optical design follows the Beer-Lambert law closely, enabling universal linearisation and minimising the need for custom EEPROM coefficients. IRM-AT is ideal for fixed systems in battery rooms, gas storage, process plants and industrial safety applications where high CH4 concentrations may be present.

Design Considerations
- Follow datasheet notes: use recommended socket, avoid mechanical shock, and perform zero + span calibration (e.g. 0 % and 2 % CH4) for the 0 – 2.5% range.
- For applications with explosive atmospheres, mount IRM-AT inside a suitable Ex-approved enclosure (sensor itself is not Ex-approved).
